TikTok recently released a 2023 marketing planner that is perfect for small businesses who are new to the platform and looking to organically grow their reach and following. The planner helps small businesses identify what seasonal moments and holidays are most relevant to them in order to create content (and momentum leading up to key moments) that resonates with their target audience. For example, a jewelry store may want to begin creating content leading up to Mother’s Day that promotes and explains why their products would make great gifts for moms.

I can confidently say from experience that your small business doesn’t necessarily need to spend money on ads right away as long as you create authentic and engaging content. I have experienced a lot of organic success on TikTok for several brands and haven’t spent a dime on advertising.
