Why Small Businesses Need To Be On TikTok

If you’re a small business that isn’t already on TikTok, here’s why you need to start using it…

According to a 2022 study conducted by customer intelligence and experience design agency, Material, “TikTok is increasingly becoming the go-to platform for discovering new small businesses, with 58% of TikTok users saying that they discover new brands and products on the platform and 44% saying they immediately went out to buy something they discovered on the platform.” 

One statistic from the study that really stood out to me is that, “58% of the TikTok audience convinces someone else to use a product.” 

So let me repeat: If you’re a small business that doesn’t already have an active TikTok account, definitely sign up for one today! TikTok’s role in the consumer purchase journey is only going to become more powerful.

The screenshot below is of a shop in my neighborhood called Alien Artifacts. They have amazing new and vintage goodies (especially from the 90s!) and they run a very engaging TikTok account that really brings out the personality of the shop. Go give them a follow! 👽🛸
